The mountune forged engine short-block upgrade is the perfect basis for enhanced reliability, at greatly increased power and torque outputs for Mk3 Focus ST and Focus RS owners.

Based on a new, genuine Ford 2-litre EcoBoost block (as this is a natively closed-deck design), this off-the-shelf upgraded assembly features co-developed MAHLE Motorsport forged pistons and connecting rods made in the USA by Carrillo to our specification and can be built with either a 2-litre, or 2.3-litre Focus RS crankshaft depending on which engine capacity you require.

Each short-block is supplied fully assembled by one of our race engine builders, so you're getting the same knowledge and attention to detail applied to your build as they would to a BTCC, or Rallycross engine.

As well as the uprated rods and pistons, this upgrade replaces or upgrades a number of other key engine components to maximise reliability, these include:

• Cylinder head gasket (latest specification OE)
• Big end bearing shells
• Thrust bearing
• Rear crank seal
• Balancer shaft delete
• Piston squirt jets
• All other required gaskets / seals
