Nice upgrade from MP215, the torque is much bigger now and the car feels very much quicker. The torque limit is gone, and I can use 2nd gear a lot more. Pulls great in every gear. Big smiles
Whether your collecting hardware or going for the mr230 package, my purchase of the mr230 map imo. Was the finishing point of the stage 2 for me. The map installed at hq due to cam timing change technically fitted (additional cost to the mr230 price) and comforts and service by mountune HQ. Made a pleasant resolution to my daily driven stage 2 needs and wants. Economy ,Toque and new power are great for fwd. hatchback road car and deliver a great product where roads allow.;and optional security features on the mtune.imo I trust in the mountune research and development to deliver From purchase to driving away after fitting at mountune at HQ and coffee waiting area, was profession quality and a journey but drove my fiesta away smiling which is how it should be after a stage 2 project. Get buying , get saving , get researching.
I had this fitted as a performance upgrade from the MR 215 package, and whilst the cost on paper seems expensive for just another around 15 bhp. The performance increase is astonishing Mountune have found in the re-map a significant increase in torque over the MR 215 package. Which transmits to the road to make a very quick car. I would recommend along with upgrading the brakes that if purchasing this package the buyer also considers the Quaife ATB differential upgrade otherwise torque steer will become problematic particularly in the wet. Ford never made an RS version of the MK 7.5 Fiesta ST but, and only in my opinion this package with added spring lowering kit is the closest to what it would have been as an overall drivers package had the Ford Factory produced one. I know more powerful possibilities exist but frankly unless you want to track race its not necessary this package is more than enough. Mountune fitted most of this for me and remain highly recommended with excellent service from Fred Jay and the team with reasonable costs. Nigel C
