Again, thank you Mountune for an excellent day. Ryan, as always is very welcoming and always willing to answer any questions I had for him. I had my 4th service and removal of the MR265 turbo and conversion to MR230. The kit is so suited to every day driving and knew I wouldn't have any worries going back to MR230. A 200 mile round trip but happy to travel for there great service and reasonably pricing.
I visited Mountune a couple of months ago; taking in my completely stock Fiesta ST-3, I left it with Fred and his team for a day, and these upgrades were fitted (All reviews left on each items page) MR230 Kit / Billet Quick Shift / Roll Restrictor / Sport Spring Kit / Symposer Delete / Black Gearknob & Leather Gaiter & Floor Mats MR230 - Its all so good, and what an oddly addictive driving experience that will never get stale! The acceleration and response is incredible compared to stock. The sound of the catback is just right - Its not too ‘yobish’ or ‘ASBO’, its subtly raspy, but its definitely loud when you want it to be! Sounds amazing inside and outside and not an annoying drone in the cabin either (I did have the symposer delete fitted also, highly recommended with the catback and any remap 215 or 230; the ‘real’ noises are so much more satisfying). You really do need to see/hear it in real life; online vids won’t do it the justice it deserves … and that satisfying whistle when you change gear just doesn’t seem to get old either. The good quality of parts give confidence too, that the increase in power and the way the car now wants to be driven, is well capable of taking it. A great all around kit, and worth paying Mountune the noticeable extra cost compared to other available modifiers, for the peace of mind of a great quality fitted kit, by a Ford approved modifier with incredible customer service, throughout the whole process.
Well where to start? I visited Fred and his team yesterday to have the rest of the MR230 kit installed. Already had the 215 with cat back, induction hose and charge pipe hoses. I contemplated for quite some time about getting it done, all the money for not a lot of gain you say?? Well I'll never question it again, wow is all I can say had a smile from ear to ear during the 3 hour drive back to Somerset. Couldn't quite believe how much difference there was, the pick up in all gears is so much more pronounced especially in top when she just seems to pull and pull. Can't wait for the weather to start drying up to see what it can really do?? Once again many thanks to Fred and the team at Mountune HQ I think you'll see me in the future for stage 3!!!
