Roll Restrictor [Mk8 Fiesta ST]

The mountune roll restrictor for the Mk8 Fiesta ST reduces the amount of engine roll/movement during hard acceleration and gear-changes, whilst maintaining an acceptable level of NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) for everyday use.

The EcoBoost engine found in the Fiesta ST generates a considerable amount of NVH due to its 3-cylinder architecture, and as such, the OE roll restrictor has had to be designed in a way to minimise this harshness. Unfortunately, this also means the engine movement is considerable and this translates as unwanted wheel hop /  tramping - which is unpleasant and detrimental to your car's overall performance.

Engineering an uprated mount to minimise this unwanted and performance-robbing characteristic, without filling the cabin with harsh vibrations, has been a challenge. But using our decades of high-level engineering knowledge, and previous roll restrictor experience, has enabled us to produce what we believe to be the ultimate balance for those wanting all of the performance benefits, without the unbearable vibration that the majority of other mounts exhibit - you'll still feel it, but not as harshly.

Machined from T-6061 billet aluminium, the mountune roll restrictor features unique mixed shore-hardness polyurethane bushes to counteract unwanted NVH and minimise vibration as much as possible, whilst still providing the required restriction in engine movement to enhance performance.

Due to the additional NVH created when the VDE (cylinder de-activation) strategy is enabled, for all users already in our SMARTflash ecosystem, you can also claim a free cylinder de-activation version of your m225 / m235 / m260 (Fiesta) calibration - just specify your vehicle VIN in the notes section when checking out. and if the email used to make this purchase is different to the one used for your original SMARTflash purchase, please also supply that to ensure the industrialised calibration to support your vehicle is created and sent to you correctly.

Please note: A compromise has to be made, and some vibration at cold start and idle may be more noticeable on some vehicles.

Recommended torque settings: Subframe: 50Nm | Gearbox side: 45Nm.

    Mountune roll restrictor

    I've only just brought the car and started on the modifications. I've read people's reviews on mountune roll restrictor and I decided to purchase one. It's takes about hour to do. From my experience it takes longer to take the cover off from under the car! You will need 15mm and 16mm sockets to do the job. I must say I couldn't believe how much the engine moves by hand, I could rock it myself. Its really a tight fit putting it back together but I put some CERA TEC what you use on brakes. If you put it on the yellow surface just a light smearing on the touching surfaces it really helps putting it back together. I also put some on the bolts shafts when putting it back together and don't forget to torque the bolts back up!! It's really a shame you never get to see the roll restrictor because it's really good piece of engineering....

    Roll Restrictor [Mk8 Fiesta ST]

    Simply the best Roll Restrictor available for the MK8 Fiesta ST. The increase in NVH is subtle and not too intrusive. Eliminates the wheel hop, and improves gear shifting at the same time. Highly recommend.

    My OE gearbox Mount was struggling to put 260 bhp on wheels, but its not a problem anymore.
