mTune SMARTflash m260 Upgrade [Mk8 Fiesta ST]

The mountune m260 power upgrade for the Mk8 Fiesta ST takes performance to a whole new level, quite literally, releasing up to 260PS and 365Nm from the ST's 1.5-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine - and all whilst still retaining the factory GPF and catalyst.

The additional torque output is delivered across a wide spread in the rev-range which translates into effortless drivability and totally transforms the overall driving experience and fun-factor. By removing some of the inherent bottlenecks in the OE hardware, the optimised calibration boosts peak power to between 250-260PS and makes it equally rewarding to rev!

Installation couldn't be simpler, as the m260 calibration is supplied on our mTune SMARTflash app which allows for quick and easy calibration changes in minutes. All you need is our app, the supplied Bluetooth OBD interface and your Smartphone; no laptop, no wires, no handsets, no problem!

m260 SMARTflash also includes plenty of user choice as standard, with three specific performance calibrations, plus two companion calibrations (standard and anti-theft) which are supplied with the following features:

In addition, the SMARTflash app, which is available for Apple and Android users, also allows for easy future calibration updates and includes a handy VIN and calibration ID reader as standard.

In order to achieve and maintain performance and reliability, the m260 upgrade should be used in conjunction with the hardware listed below and should only be used with 97RON+ fuel. If a lower octane rating of fuel is the only grade available we recommend switching to the m235 calibration which can be used on normal unleaded fuel reliably in all scenarios.

    Power, on another level

    Even versus our m235 upgrade, our m260 provides a very noticeable uplift in power and torque across the entire rev-range. Compared to the standard vehicle it's quite literally on another level!

    Please note: 97RON+ fuel should be used with m260. If this is not available, the m235 calibration should be utilised to maintain reliability.

    Individual vehicle output may vary based on vehicle condition, external parameters and method of testing.

    Recommended hardware

    To help achieve the power and torque figures indicated and to ensure maximum reliability and a degree of headway remains, the m260 should only be used when our charge pipe upgrade (which removes a very restrictive bottleneck in the charge system), an uprated intercooler and induction kit have been installed.

    Although not essential for m260, where possible, we would additionally recommend the use of our high-flow elbow, silicone induction hose, ACAI and GPF-back exhaust to ensure maximum unrestricted airflow and minimal pressure-drop across the entire intake and exhaust system.

      M260 review

      I don't normally write reviews however this M260 map is worthy of a review. The M260 map is amazing super impressed with it. Massive improvement over the previous map on the car. Prevous tuner who developed my previous map on the car promised the world but failed to deliver and quoted inflated horse power figures. The M260 map is a Night and day difference from my previous map. It was well worth the wait for the file to be made compatable with the MY21 Fiesta. The car feels super quick and more drivable everywhere in the rev range. Mountune have really done their homework on this one. The car now effortlessly pulls smoother and harder. Anyone considering a map for their MK8 the M260 is definately worth considering. Hopefully the engine internals hold up and can handle the extra power. I only gave this review 4 stars which is no real fault of Mountune as their customer service is amazing and their corrospondence is always promt but I had a little difficulty fitting the charge pipe to my car. The oem o-ring seal for the charge pipe didnt fit my turbo and I ended up tearing it. My o-ring seal was different to their installation video. Ford do not sell these o-rings individually as of yet for my car which meant i would have had to buy a whole new oem charge pipe for the car being about $300. I was lucky enough to find a generic Viton o-ring that fitted the charge pipe to seal it. I think Mountune should at least supply an o ring with the charge pipe kit as the OEM one is very fragile and stretches very easy when trying to force the pipe onto the turbo and a decent t-bolt clamp for the section of the kit where the pipe connects to the intercooler hose. The oem clamp kept blowing off but i have since put a t bolt clamp on it now and have had no problems since. Also the postage to Australia I got stung $250 in taxes and fees for import duties. Not sure if Mountune can do it but if they can put the value of the goods under $1000 for the Blue tooth obd reader and charge pipe kit that would be great as it wouldnt attract these taxes and fees. Majority of the money is taken up in the R&D for the map which is just an email and not the parts. Other than that the parts are of super high quality and the Mountune app is a very user friendly interface. For my needs and I think this is the best map on the market at the moment.       Just wow!

      Been running the m260 upgrade for a month or so now and I can honestly say I'm seriously impressed! I have all the required hardware a few other bits and I can honestly say I was not expected the end result to be as good as it is! Excellent throttle response in all gears and the pull throughout the rev range is staggering! A nice bonus is that I have also gained an impressive improvement in economy too! Not long after fitting, I completed a 150 mile round trip and averaged 55mpg sitting at between 60-70mph. This car did it all to begin with and now does so even better!
