NAPA Racing UK strengthened its position across all three Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship standings at Croft, with Ash Sutton taking a record breaking 55th career victory and Dan Cammish moving into second in the Drivers’ Championship.
Powered by mountune developed race engines, the four NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus Titaniums showed strong pace throughout the weekend in Yorkshire, adding another valuable collection of points with two events still remaining in the 2026 season.
Strong pace from the outset
Saturday saw the four NAPA Racing UK cars split evenly between the two qualifying groups, with Cammish setting the fastest time in his session.
That pace continued into the Race to Pole, where Cammish secured a front row start for Sunday’s opening race. Sutton qualified third, while Lewis Selby continued his recent progression to secure 14th and Sam Osborne lined up 18th.
Sutton takes career win number 55
Sunday began with a closely fought opening race. Sutton emerged from a four car battle at the front to finish second, while Cammish crossed the line fourth, securing a strong points haul for both drivers and the team.
Selby and Osborne used the wet conditions to take a strategic approach to Race 1, running the hard tyre on the formation lap and removing it from their allocation ahead of the remaining two races.
Race 2 proved to be the highlight of the weekend.
Despite running the hard tyre, Sutton delivered another impressive performance to take victory and record the 55th BTCC win of his career.
The result makes Sutton the most successful driver currently competing in the championship and moves him to fifth on the all time BTCC wins list.
Cammish followed with another fourth place finish, moving back into second in the Drivers’ Championship and establishing an eight point advantage over Tom Ingram.
Valuable points at Croft
The final race of the weekend brought frustration after Sutton, Cammish and Osborne were caught up in a first lap incident at the opening corner. Selby recovered from the pit lane to finish inside the points and complete the weekend for the team.
Following Croft, Sutton leads the Drivers’ Championship by 115 points, with Cammish now sitting second to give NAPA Racing UK drivers the top two positions in the standings.
NAPA Racing UK also leads the Teams’ Championship by 205 points, while Alliance Racing / Ford holds a 192 point advantage in the Manufacturer / Constructor Championship.
