mountune has been part of the British Touring Car Championship for decades, supporting some of the championship’s most successful teams, manufacturers and drivers with race winning powertrain engineering.
From manufacturer backed programmes to today’s latest generation of BTCC machinery, our involvement spans multiple eras of the championship. That experience continues to shape the way we develop, build and support competition engines and powertrains from our facility in Hutton.

Competition Engineering
Our BTCC capability extends beyond engine assembly. We can support programmes from initial development and specification through to engine build, dyno validation, calibration and ongoing trackside support.
Each programme is approached around the requirements of the team, technical regulations and championship, combining proven motorsport experience with the engineering resource required to deliver consistent performance throughout a season.
Development
Powertrain development built around the technical regulations and requirements of each programme. From component specification and optimisation through to calibration and dyno development, every element is engineered as part of the complete package.
Engine Build & Validation
Competition engines are assembled, inspected and validated at Hutton, with controlled build processes and dyno testing providing the consistency, reliability and performance required at BTCC level.
Championship Support
Our involvement continues beyond the dyno. mountune provides trackside engineering and technical support throughout a programme, working directly with teams to analyse data, optimise calibration and maximise performance throughout a race weekend.

mountune’s relationship with the BTCC spans multiple generations of touring car racing, from manufacturer backed programmes and some of the championship’s most recognisable machinery to the current era of competition.
Across that history, mountune engineered power has contributed to race wins, championship campaigns and title success, working alongside leading manufacturers and teams including Ford programmes and, more recently, the mountune powered NAPA Racing UK cars.
