O’GRADY CROWNED GB4 CHAMPION AT BRANDS HATCH
Alex O’Grady secured the 2026 GB4 Championship at Brands Hatch, bringing the curtain down on another season of competition for the mountune powered grid.
The KMR Sport driver arrived at the final weekend with the championship in his sights and sealed the title with second place in Race 2. It completed a season built around consistency, with O’Grady recording three victories, nine podiums, four fastest laps and two pole positions on his way to the crown.
O’Grady was also one of only two drivers to finish every race during the 2026 season, recording 20 top 10 finishes before eventually securing the championship by 33 points from Fred Green.
GREEN TAKES TWO
While O’Grady secured the championship, Fred Green delivered a strong final weekend of his own.
The Elite Motorsport driver took victory in Race 1 before repeating the result on Sunday morning. Green controlled Race 2 from the front, setting a series of fastest laps before taking the chequered flag 5.163 seconds ahead of O’Grady.
Second place was all O’Grady needed. After making a strong start and moving ahead of Thomas Ingram Hill into Paddock Hill Bend, he held the position to the flag to secure the 2026 title. Ingram Hill completed the podium in third.
Green’s results secured second in the championship, completing the season 33 points behind O’Grady.
KOH CLOSES THE SEASON WITH A FIRST WIN
The final race of the 2026 GB4 season produced another new winner as Arden Motorsport’s Michael Koh converted reverse grid pole into his maiden championship victory.
With light rain adding another challenge around the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit, Koh led throughout while coming under sustained pressure from Matan Achituv and Connor Willis.
Less than a second separated the leading three at the finish, with Koh crossing the line 0.634 seconds ahead of Achituv to secure both his first GB4 victory and first podium. Willis completed the final podium of the season.
Behind them, Enzo Hallman secured third in the final Drivers’ Championship standings, narrowly beating Thomas Ingram Hill to the position.
ANOTHER SEASON OF MOUNTUNE POWER
O’Grady’s championship brings another season of GB4 competition to a close, with every car on the grid powered by mountune.
Across the year, the championship once again provided close racing, multiple winners and a season long title fight, culminating in O’Grady and KMR Sport taking the 2026 crown at Brands Hatch.
For O’Grady, three victories and nine podiums were backed up by remarkable consistency across the season, making him the latest driver to secure a championship with mountune power.
With the 2026 GB4 season complete, attention now turns to the next generation of drivers preparing to take to the grid in 2027.
