The GB4 Championship delivered three different winners at Silverstone, with Luke Hilton taking victory on Saturday before Thomas Ingram Hill and Connor Willis both secured breakthrough wins on Sunday.
The fourth round of the 2026 season also brought another shift in the championship battle, with Alex O’Grady leaving Silverstone 25 points clear of Fred Green as the season moved towards Snetterton.
Hilton strikes in race one
Luke Hilton strengthened his championship challenge with his second victory of the season in Saturday’s opening race.
The Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing driver started third but moved into contention immediately as pole sitter Thomas Ingram Hill and Fred Green made contact at the opening corner.
With both front row starters dropping out of contention, Hilton emerged at the front and controlled the remainder of the race to take victory.
The result continued an impressive run of form for Hilton and brought him firmly into the championship fight heading into Sunday’s two races.
Maiden victory for Ingram Hill
After the disappointment of Saturday, Ingram Hill responded in the best possible way in race two.
Starting alongside pole sitter Green, the Fortec Motorsports driver made the stronger start and moved into the lead immediately. After absorbing pressure during the opening stages, Ingram Hill gradually established an advantage and went on to secure his first GB4 victory by more than two seconds.
Green finished second to strengthen his own championship challenge, while Hilton continued his consistent run with third place and a fifth consecutive podium.
Torrin Byrne finished fourth ahead of championship leader O’Grady, with Franciszek Cegielski completing the top six.
Willis takes his first win
The reverse grid finale produced another first time winner, as Hillspeed’s Connor Willis converted pole position into victory.
Willis made a strong start and established an early advantage before a three car incident at Vale brought out the safety car.
Racing resumed with six minutes remaining and Willis at the head of the field, ahead of Byrne and Josh McLean. Further drama followed when Hilton made contact with McLean at Vale, ending McLean’s podium challenge and Hilton’s run of consecutive top three finishes.
Willis remained clear of the incidents behind to secure his first victory in slicks and wings competition, crossing the line 1.3 seconds ahead of Byrne.
Ingram Hill completed an impressive Sunday with third place, while Green climbed from 11th on the grid to fourth. O’Grady finished fifth ahead of Dayton Coulthard.
Championship battle heads to Snetterton
Despite not taking a victory at Silverstone, O’Grady maintained his position at the head of the championship and leaves the weekend with 247 points.
Green’s strong Sunday moved him back into second on 222 points, 25 behind O’Grady, while Hilton sits third on 205 following another competitive weekend.
With three different race winners and two drivers taking their maiden victories, Silverstone once again demonstrated the close competition across the mountune powered GB4 grid.
The championship continues at Snetterton for the fifth round of the season.
