Fast road Brake Pad upgrade (Front)

The mountune high-performance mk7 Fiesta ST brake pad range has been developed for owners looking for the ultimate in braking performance whilst retaining their OE braking setup.

The aramid fibre-based pad compound used provides excellent initial bite from cold, which improves further with subsequent use as the heat builds up, offering enhanced performance and resistance to brake fade upto 700ºC.

The compound used also produces minimal dust and maintains an OE-like level of noise, so is perfectly suited to daily use without any compromise.

  • Improved braking performance
  • Resistance to brake fade up to 700ºC
  • Low dust / noise output
  • Suitable for fast road / track day use
  • Direct swap for OE pad
  • ECE R90 approved
  • Perfectly matched to mountune grooved disc upgrade

Improved feel. Immediate and agressive bite. Some squeel at higher speeds. Very satisfied.

    Initial Assessment

Intro: I am German and probably most of you know that we have pain in the *** regulations when it comes to tuning parts, every upgrade part has to have a certain certificate or in this case ECE R90 approval. My case: I was looking for some upgrade discs and pads in the front since my OEM discs had cracks all over (16k miles). No track use btw but I think this is what happens when u brake from Vmax to 70 mph on a daily basis. So I decided to get the most premium stuff while still being street legal. Those Mountune pads and new TAROX F2000 Discs is actually the most expensive street legal combination in GER. Review: Braking with the above named combination is less aggressive than with OEM parts, since one can dose the desired braking way better! This might result, perception wise, in less braking power since you really gotta push the pedal to get maximum stopping power, but the braking feels know way more solid and responsive. It feels more confident to brake with these pads, although I kinda miss the aggressiveness of the OEM parts (which actually ruined my OEM discs due to their high friction coefficient -->assumption). Its hard for me at the moment, to really find a proper conclusion because I still have to get used to the different braking style these pads generate with the F2000 discs and I really haven't been trying out the limit of these. But what I know for sure is that I put a lot of trust in mountune's products and im excited how this will do in the long run.
