Quaife ATB Differential [Mk2 Focus ST]

Available direct from mountune, the Quaife ATB helical LSD differential for mk2 Focus ST225 fits the M66 gearbox. A direct replacement for the standard Ford open differential, the Quaife differential transforms your car's performance.

Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Quaife differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation and never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle.

Instead, the Quaife differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel, across the axle to a constantly varying degree.

Benefits over a standard open differential:

  • maximises traction
  • minimises wheel spin
  • reduced torque steer and snatching in front wheel drive cars
  • a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication

Quaife differentials are proven in circuit and drag racing, rallying and road use. All Quaife differentials are produced from Corus steel billets, and are CAD-designed and CNC machined before being inspected to ISO 9001 standards.

Was a little surprised to see the quaife box damaged and it was still put in a mountune box, I have checked the diff and seems ok will be hopefully fitting it in the next week or so, also surprised it don't come with new bearings.

Had this fitted today along with the MR310 Kit and Clubsport suspension. Even with mid range tyres fitted the car just seems to grip. The power is transferred much more effectively through the front wheels and it has genuinely surprised me how much this has improved the car. Thankyou mountune.
