The mountune Focus roll restrictor reduces the amount of engine roll / movement during hard acceleration and gear changing, plus helps reduce 'wheel-hop', particularly when the power output has been increased.
With a product such as this, care must be taken with the design and choice of materials, as a poor design can destroy the feel and driving experience of the car.

The mountune Focus roll restrictor is machined from high quality HE30 aluminium, and features a unique size and shore hardness polyurethane bush.
The bonus of using polyurethane is that not only has it been engineered to give increased stiffness without causing excessive vibrations, it also doesn’t deteriorate like rubber does, so the service life of the component is greatly increased.

Fitted it myslelf, fittment was so easy, it took me 45 minutes. Wow! It totally transforms the car! Yes, there is slightly more vibrations at idle, but not to worry about. But the power delivery! My Focus now seems like totally different car! Almost no engine movement when you lift off the throttle, rev matching is considerably easier and the torque steer is almost no more. You can floor it on 2nd gear without any problems now. I'm just amazed on how such a little thing can transform the feel of the car. Only downside is there is no instructions manual, so I don't know if I face it in the right way. New roll restrictor's design is slightly changed from the one in the instruction video, so I face it with the white mountune logo facing to the ground and I hope this is the right way.
Very nice product and a great looking part (a shame you won't get to see it much) . Quick delivery as always. Noticeably more nvh in the low rmp range but totally worth it! Acceleration feels nicer and wheelhop is now non-existent. Only down side is that it's a very tight space to work in so expect to hit your hands on everything.
