Made in the USA by Carrillo to mountune specifications, each connecting rod incorporates our motorsport DNA to provide you with the ultimate component for your engine. Exclusive features include a robust, I – Beam configuration with extensive machining to optimize weight without reducing strength. All edges and corners are radiused to improve durability.
As an added upgrade, mountune Forged Connecting Rods feature machined tangs to securely locate the rod bearings. Compared to the factory press fit tangless bearings, this feature ensures improved bearing retention in high cylinder pressure and high RPM engines.
Tool steel connecting rod bolts are also standard and are superior to most bolts found in other rods on the market. Silicone/bronze pin bushings provide a durable and low friction surface that remains dimensionally stable in high pressure and high RPM applications.

Booked job with Fred last November for January HQ fitting. All parts in stock at the time but needed to save up my currency to pay for the Forged Engine Internal upgrade. Vehicle had been running M400 for over a year but due to 400X calibration being released and recommended anything above M380 didn’t want OEM internals failing. Vehicle dropped off Monday 1000 hrs and was ready by close of play Thursday. Note oil used is now 10W/60 - even got a 1 litre oil free of charge. You get another oil change and diagnostic check after a steady 500 miles not exceeding 3000 rpm as it’s a rebuilt engine. This is included in the price. Have the tank fuelled up as they road test 50 miles plus. Only downside at present is that the 400X calibration wasn’t available for my Cobb handset purchased with the M380 so have to rebook when it is released but as I can’t drive the card hard for 500 miles then a further 500 miles after oil change by then it should have been released. It’s only a 25 mins drive for me and can be done on a wuw basis. Excuse to chill out in their waiting room and coffee etc. Hopefully, the larger turbo will be launched in 2019 and vehicle will be set up to have a further power increase. You also get a personalised plate fixed to the engine block signed by the filter confirming Mountune Forged Internals fitted.
