The mountune Stage 1 calibration dramatically improves power and torque output across the entire rev-range; peak power is increased to 360PS, with torque raised to 500Nm.
It also features a host of additional features and functionality accessible via the SMARTflash app.
For maximum performance the mountuneStage 1 should be used together with a high-flow intake and is optimised to work with the mountuneX3; the pressure drop achieved using this setup removes yields further improvements in peak performance, throttle response and also enhances induction noise.
Power figures achieved using 99RON fuel (Stage 1 is safe to use with 95RON). Power output may vary based on individual vehicle condition, fuel quality and method of testing.
The mountune DSG TCU calibration works in harmony with the Stage 1 engine calibration to fully exploit the maximum available vehicle performance and engine torque output.
Our SMARTflash OBD Bluetooth interface and SMARTflash app allows you to easily reprogram the gearbox's calibration inside the TCU (Transmission Control Unit). This allows the transmission to maintain higher torque levels through the revised clutch pressure optimisation.
Shifts are faster, giving harder and quicker acceleration through the gears, whatever level of performance your car has.
The driving mode strategy itself is also optimised to suit higher power levels, giving a more coherent gear selection profile. Switch the controls over to manual and you'll have real gear control, quite literally at your fingertips - no automatic upshifts, no kick down until you decide you want it.
In addition, launch control will get you off the line quicker through allowing more boost at launch and increased launch RPM.
ECU/TCU Stage 1, 2019 Seat Leon Cupra with GPF and DSG. Aftermarket intake. Drivability has improved massively just from the much smoother DSG alone. No more lags when manually shifting, no more "hunting" for the right gear. A very nice improvement! Full acceleration from low speeds is now almost too much for the front axle to handle without noticeable torque steer, but on the highway the instant power is very addictive. I asked Mountune for a map with a few extra pops/bangs, which they supplied the very same day - excellent customer service!
Mountune are a bit of an underdog vs the other big tuners for *** cars BUT they have a proven they are bang on for my Seat Leon Cupra 300. Power figures are true to advertised as you can data log and use the ECU connect app and the OBD reader which gives you a file to can take into a spreadsheet. Great connection speed and accurate data, I've used it for diagnose a minor misfire with my car! The TCU / DSG tune was rocky at first but it depends on your preference of aggressiveness, e.g. my route home the car was in 3rd most the time rather than 6th at 40ish mph in Drive Mode. I emailed about this and requested a change which Mountune happily obliged so drive mode shift points was closer to stock but still retained the quicker shifts and clamping pressure. Initially the map switching, between 3 power modes, did not work on my steering wheel as it was originally tested for a mk7 Golf and using the cruise control reset button the mk7 steering wheel. However Mountune changed this so maps can be changed with the indicator stalk which is where the cruise control controls are on the Leon. All in all, they are accommodating and the software is really good with years of testing behind them. It also gives you options if you don't want full beans all the time. Highly recommended. Only thing I would suggest is that they email you to ask if you want longer overrun and how aggressive you want the DSG tune. Overrun is wayyyyy to long on their standard ECU map but again, that is preference.
