Victory and podium success for NAPA Racing UK as the mountune powered squad strengthens its BTCC championship campaign
NAPA Racing UK continued its strong 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship campaign at Donington Park, with Dan Cammish taking victory and championship leader Ash Sutton securing a pair of podium finishes on the GP circuit.
It was another successful weekend for the mountune powered Ford Focus STs, with all four cars finishing the final race inside the points and the team leaving Donington at the head of both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Championships.
A STRONG START
The weekend began with the unveiling of a special Valvoline livery for the cars of Cammish and Sam Osborne. Inspired by the Valvoline NASCAR driven by Jess Hawkins in 2024, the new look provided a striking change for the Donington Park weekend.
Attention quickly turned to qualifying, where Sutton, Cammish and Osborne secured fourth, fifth and ninth on the grid respectively. Lewis Selby also showed strong pace before contact ultimately left him starting from 17th.
Race 1 saw Sutton immediately capitalise on his second row starting position, taking second place and the first podium of the weekend. Cammish followed closely in fourth after making a late move on Daniel Rowbottom, while Selby fought his way into the points with P14.
CAMMISH CONVERTS
Race 2 delivered the standout result of the weekend.
Starting fourth and equipped with the faster medium tyre, Cammish moved through the field to take a superb victory, his second of the season. The result also strengthened his championship challenge, moving him ahead of Tom Ingram in the Drivers’ standings at that stage of the weekend.
Sutton joined his teammate on the podium, completing a second consecutive top three finish and further extending his championship advantage.
Behind them, Selby again demonstrated strong race pace, although a ten second penalty for a false start prevented him from challenging for a place in the reverse grid draw.
POINTS ACROSS THE BOARD
The final race brought another consistent performance from the team. Sutton finished fifth to complete a strong points haul across all three races, while Selby climbed through the order to take P12.
Following extensive work from the NAPA Racing UK crew, Osborne returned to the grid and charged as high as P14. Cammish followed him home, ensuring all four mountune powered cars finished Race 3 inside the points.
The results leave NAPA Racing UK leading both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Championships heading into the next round. Sutton holds a commanding 98 point advantage at the top of the Drivers’ Championship, while Cammish sits third and remains firmly in contention.
For mountune, the weekend represents another strong result for an engine programme competing at the sharp end of British motorsport. The demands of the BTCC require performance, consistency and reliability across every session, with Donington once again demonstrating the strength of the package developed alongside NAPA Racing UK.
The championship continues at Croft Circuit on 5 and 6 September, where the fight for the 2026 titles enters its next stage.
